The Role Due to continued growth within the team, a new position is available within the Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs Strategic Program. The Quality and Improvement Manager drives best practice program planning and commissioning approaches to improve access, innovation and outcomes primary mental health and suicide prevention programs. The role contributes to the design, implementation and evaluation of strategic systemwide strategies for commissioning a continuum of primary mental health and suicide prevention services. The role leads data analysis to inform strategic planning and ensure services are outcome-based, evidence-based and consumer-focused, responsive to system change, and guided by market analysis. The role applies change management stakeholder engagement to work across Country SA PHN portfolios, the primary mental health care system and beyond. About You Essential Criteria Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field with experience working in a Mental Health and AOD role. Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated experience in performance monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of commissioned health programs. Knowledge of commissioning and contract management in a publicly funded health environment. Understanding of primary mental health and suicide prevention systems, including contemporary models of care and relevant Commonwealth requirements. Strong analytical skills, including using data and market insights to inform planning, service design and investment decisions. Proven stakeholder engagement and influence skills across internal teams, service providers, communities and partner organisations. Strong communication and organisational skills, including preparing reports/briefs and managing competing priorities; proficient in Microsoft Office. Desirable Criteria: An appreciation of primary health care culture and the issues currently facing regional primary health care services Sound health literacy with knowledge of primary health care principles and practice An understanding of ethics and confidentiality issues particularly in relation to the health and medical professions Demonstrated experience in working with rural communities
