This is a hands-on role where you will use your technical expertise to ensure our vehicles are operating at peak performance and safety. You will assist in providing excellent service to customers while adhering to industry standards and company procedures. Your daily duties will include but not be limited to: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a range of taxi vehicles engines, brakes and electrical systems. Perform scheduled routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, tyre rotations and brake inspections to ensure vehicle safety Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, and parts inventory to track vehicle history and ensure efficient operations. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed. Uphold high standards of safety and quality in all work undertaken Communicate with drivers regarding the status of their vehicles and any recommended repairs. Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Continuously expand your knowledge of automotive technology and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required. About You Along with your strong work ethic and previous experience you'll have/be: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent - essential Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic - essential Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Full Australian working rights or permanent residency - essential Must live on the Central Coast How to apply If you feel that this is the role for you, please apply via SEEK today.
