We are looking for a caring, reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our foundation team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new practice from the very beginning. Our clinic has been designed to provide high-quality, modern and patient-focused dental care to Silverdale and the surrounding community. Artlab Dental will provide a broad range of treatment including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge, veneers, implant dentistry, surgical procedures and clear aligner treatment. About the role As our Dental Assistant, you will support our dentists, help the day run smoothly and ensure every patient feels comfortable and well cared for. Your duties will include: Chairside assisting for general, restorative, cosmetic, surgical, implant-related and clear aligner appointments Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials Cleaning, decontamination and sterilisation of instruments Following infection control protocols Assisting with digital imaging and X-rays where appropriately trained Providing patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructions Maintaining stock levels and helping with ordering of dental supplies Supporting accurate patient records and clinical documentation Assisting with reception and patient flow when required Helping maintain a calm, clean, organised and professional clinic environment Previous experience with dental software is helpful, but training will be provided on our practice systems as part of onboarding. About you We are looking for someone who is: Friendly, caring and patient-focused Reliable, punctual and well organised Professional in presentation and communication Calm under pressure and able to work efficiently Attentive to detail, cleanliness and infection control A positive team player with a strong work ethic Willing to learn and grow with the practice Comfortable using computers and learning new systems Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, especially in general dentistry, surgical procedures, implants, cosmetic dentistry or clear aligner treatment. However, we are also open to the right person with a strong attitude, reliability and genuine willingness to learn. Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting will be highly regarded but is not essential. Expected hours: 20–35 hours per week. The practice is expected to open in the first week of July 2026. The successful applicant will ideally commence 1–2 weeks prior to opening for induction, onboarding and training. Pay: $28–$35 per hour, depending on experience and suitability for the role.
