Role Purpose The Retail Manager role exists to oversee the day-to-day operation of the service station and convenience store, ensuring efficient trading, strong customer service, and safe workplace practices. This position supports business performance by managing staff, stock, sales, compliance, reporting, and site presentation while maintaining reliable operations in line with Australian retail and workplace standards. Key Responsibilities Manage daily fuel and convenience store operations. Supervise, roster, train, and support retail staff. Monitor sales, margins, stock levels, and wastage. Maintain product displays, pricing, and store presentation. Order stock and manage supplier deliveries. Handle cash, banking, reconciliations, and POS records. Resolve customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues. Ensure fuel safety, food safety, and workplace safety compliance. Monitor forecourt, pumps, equipment, and store facilities. Implement theft prevention, loss control, and security procedures. Prepare operational reports for owners or management. Maintain accurate records for stock, staff, and compliance matters. Support promotions, local customer engagement, and sales initiatives. Identify process improvements to improve service and efficiency. Ensure employment practices align with workplace policies and obligations. What We Are Looking For Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in retail, service station, convenience store, or business operations. Relevant qualification such as a Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or higher in Retail Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field. Strong leadership, customer service, communication, and staff management skills. Practical knowledge of POS systems, stock control, rostering, cash handling, and reporting. Understanding of workplace health and safety, fuel site safety, food handling, and retail compliance.
