The Old Laundry in North Perth is seeking a full-time Sous Chef or Senior CDP to join our team. We are a friendly little neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar open 6 days a week, with breakfast also served on the weekend. We host regular functions and events in-house and also run a successful external catering business. This full time position has flexible working hours to support work-life balance. $75,000 - $80,000 p/a depending on experience. What you’ll do: Assist the team with planning and executing seasonal menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, events and functions. Supervise junior kitchen staff to ensure appropriate standards of food preparation and presentation are being met. Contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations and procedures. What we're looking for: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef in a similar leadership role within a fast-paced restaurant environment. Breakfast, function and catering experience will also be looked upon favourably. Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating amazing food. Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and inventory management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the rest of the team.
