About the role We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join the team at Native Cafe' in Kiama, NSW. As our Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes that showcase the best of local and seasonal produce. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to contribute to the success of our vibrant cafe. What you'll be doing Preparing and cooking a wide variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and specialty items Collaborating with the management team to develop and refine the cafe's menu Ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency Supervising and training kitchen staff to maintain efficient and effective kitchen operations Adhering to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene practices Participating in menu planning and cost control to optimise profitability What we're looking for Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef in a similar cafe or restaurant environment Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and cost control Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes Passion for using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification Valid Australian work rights are required for this position What we offer At Native Cafe', we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
