About Us Yukana provides independent living and aged care in one community. We have one-bedroom and two-bedroom retirement living units, designed to assist residents to live independently throughout their 80s and 90s. Our co-located Total Care Facility provides 24/7 support in a relaxed, home-like environment for higher levels of care, including dementia and palliative care. Care is privately funded and accredited with ARVAS. Our lifestyle team is extremely passionate about the residents they serve and will often comment about how rewarding they find working in the aged care sector. About the Role Our lifestyle team provides support as part of holistic care for our residents. This includes supporting the emotional, mental and physical wellbeing of residents through day-to-day lifestyle activities, as well as enhancing relationship-building communication, one-to-one social support and group-based engagements. Working collaboratively within the Lifestyle team, responsibilities may include: Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating lifestyle and wellbeing activities for residents. Facilitating individual and group recreational programs, including music, crafts, games and social activities. Assessing residents' interests, abilities and wellbeing needs to develop appropriate lifestyle and recreational programs. Encouraging resident participation, independence and community engagement. Supporting and coordinating lifestyle outings and special events. Maintaining resident lifestyle assessments, participation records and program documentation. Monitoring resident wellbeing and program outcomes and contributing to ongoing program improvement. Supporting resident wellbeing and safety during activities and outings. Skills and Qualifications Needs to be passionate about the elderly and aged care, to embrace change easily, and to lead by example in a positive manner that upholds our values of dignity, honour and respect. Relevant Industry qualification or equivalent work experience.
