About the Role Paull & Warner SA – Moore Engineering is seeking an experienced Purchasing/Stores Officer to join our team in a stores-based, hands-on role. You will support the production line through purchasing, inventory control, kit picking, and Work Order management within the Ostendo system. Reporting to the Production Team, you will manage stock issues, resolve missing parts, and ensure materials/parts are accurately planned, procured, and allocated in a fast-paced environment, including picking, packing, and forklifting. Your responsibilities will include: Raise and manage Purchase Orders in Ostendo to meet production schedules Maintain and review Bills of Materials (BoMs) for accuracy Create, issue, and manage Work Orders (WOs) in Ostendo/Receipt stock into jobs. Coordinate kit picking and stock allocation for the production line Manage day-to-day stock issues and missing parts from the production team Receive, store, and issue materials accurately Entering & receipting of supplier invoices Liaise with suppliers to confirm lead times and escalate delays Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery and, or invoice issues Conduct cycle counts and support monthly/annual stocktakes Handle returns, warranty items, and supplier credits Operate forklifts and maintain a safe warehouse environment Undertake local deliveries and pickups as required Answering incoming phone calls from supplier & customers Work with urgency to support production deadlines and minimise downtime About You We are looking for someone who brings: A current forklift licence A current drivers license Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and accountability Strong experience in purchasing within a production, manufacturing, or spare parts environment Proven experience working with Bills of Materials (BoMs) and Work Orders (WOs) Solid understanding of inventory control, stock movements, and kit picking processes Ability to work closely with production teams to meet deadlines and priorities Strong supplier management and communication skills High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/CRM systems About Paull & Warner Group Paull & Warner Group specialises in the manufacture and repair of purpose-built vehicle bodies, including ambulances, rescue vehicles, and fire trucks.
