We are best known for huge meals, affordable prices, and family casual dining. We are looking for a full-time Chef for our restaurant to join our highly talented team. Duties and responsibilities of Chef: Oversee kitchen operations and coordinate kitchen activities Responsible for the preparation of dishes as per the menu and recipes. Work closely with the management team to develop creative new dishes, seasonal menus and improve current recipes using your expertise and creativity while ensuring cost efficiency. Ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, taste and presentation. Directing food preparation to meet any special dietary requirements of the customer. Ensuring the seasoning and garnishing of food are done appropriately and the right portion of food is served to the customers as per restaurant standards. Help in recruiting, supervise, educate and guide kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food preparation and adherence to occupational health and safety measures. Oversee inventory management, ensuring all ingredients and supplies meet operational demands. Ensuring that the food is stored in temperature-controlled facilities. Coordinate closely with front-of-house staff to guarantee efficient and prompt service ensuring that meals are served to customers on time. Uphold strict compliance in kitchen with health and safety standards. Analyzing and approximating the price of food and human resources. Qualification and experiences Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Commercial Cookery is required. At least three years’ experience in a similar role is required. Enthusiastic and motivated individual. Friendly, positive & approachable attitude. Adherence to OH&S and Food Safety regulations.
