Tyrewise is expanding which means the team is growing! We are on the hunt for an experienced and skilled Automotive Mechanic. Duties Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers Providing customer service support at reception where required Fit and change tyres, tyre balancing, tyre repairs and wheel alignments Maintain high standard of housekeeping Ensure all mechanical equipment is maintained and in good working condition Work with care and consideration of own health and safety and that of others Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair Observe Company policy and procedures Other duties as required Qualifications and Experience Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology Current and valid manual drivers licence Knowledge of diagnostic tools and specialist equipment High attention to detail and a can do attitude Must have good people and communication skills Basic computer skills If you are interested in applying please click on the Apply button and send through a copy of your resume.
