The Opportunity We are seeking experienced and highly skilled High Voltage (HV) Technicians to join our construction teams on major mining and resources projects. This is a unique chance to work on critical high voltage infrastructure across active mine sites and resources facilities, including HV switchgear, transformers, underground and overhead HV cable installations, and substation commissioning. These are full-time FIFO positions offering long-term opportunities, with successful candidates securing 18 to 24 months of ongoing project work. Roster & Location FIFO from Perth to the Pilbara 2:1 roster Flights from all major cities in Australia Key Responsibilities Installation, testing, and commissioning of HV switchgear, transformers, and cable systems Fault finding, maintenance, and switching operations on live HV networks Preparation and execution of switching programmes and safety documents Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and construction teams Qualifications & Experience WA Electrical Licence (essential) HV Switching Authorisation (essential) HV Terminations (essential) Current Driver's Licence Construction White Card Working at Heights certification LVR/CPR & current First Aid Certificate High Risk Licence (EWP) Confined Space Entry certification (advantageous) Previous FIFO experience (preferred) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen Two contactable work-related references Rates & Benefits Competitive hourly rates plus penalties Site and tool allowances Weekly project completion bonus Long-term project opportunities with consistent rosters Long-term career opportunities with a leading contractor If you are ready to take part in projects that are shaping the future of Australia's resources sector, we would like to hear from you.
