About The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work within our Ardrossan Dolomite Operation in Ardrossan, South Australia.

This is a full-time position working a Monday to Friday roster with an exciting opportunity for you to work in a team that is passionate about achieving targeted outcomes for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct work in a safe, professional and timely manner following all SIMEC standards and procedures
Perform planned and corrective maintenance on fixed crushing and screening plant, mobile surface mining equipment and fabrication where required
Work effectively within a team environment and independently
Demonstrate ability for identifying continuous improvement opportunities with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems
May also include heavy lifting, manual work, equipment movements and willingness to participate with competency-based training requirements

About You:

Current trade qualifications and experience within a mining environment or similar industry
Cert IV Mechanical Engineering - Fitter Trade Certificate
Previous experience in similar roles in heavy industry or manufacturing experience would be desirable
Experience with conveyor belts, bearings, gear boxes, large rotating equipment, lubrication, alignment and fitting would be advantageous.
Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Working at Heights, and Confined Space tickets are desirable
Ability to work flexibly to meet plant production targets.
The ability to live locally or within a close radius of Ardrossan
