About the Position The Painting Trades Worker is a key hands-on role within The Trustee For The Yash Trust, responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to a wide range of residential and commercial properties. Working both independently and alongside other trades, you will play an essential part in delivering projects on time, maintaining safe worksites, and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business in the competitive painting industry. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, filling, repairing, and priming as required for optimal paint adhesion Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve professional, even finishes Select and mix paints and materials to match specified colours and finishes while minimising waste Work safely at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces in accordance with Australian WHS regulations Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment on every job site Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and clients to confirm requirements and provide progress updates Complete all work to agreed timeframes while upholding the company’s high standards of craftsmanship Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and follow all company safety policies and procedures Requirements Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or recognised equivalent) Minimum of one year’s relevant painting experience Strong technical skills in surface preparation, paint application techniques, and colour matching Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering flawless finishes Good interpersonal and communication skills for positive client and team interactions Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, including safe work at heights Physical fitness to handle manual tasks, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions Current driver’s licence and reliable transport (highly regarded) How to Apply To apply, applicants must submit their resume with a valid email address through this online portal.
