Position : Carpenter Position type : Full time 38 hours per week Salary : $85,000 per annum plus superannuation Location : NSW 2000 BULGAN CORP PTY LTD is a specialist carpentry and steel fixing company. We work on residential and commercial projects including carpentry formwork, steel-structure installations and steel fixing, and have ongoing and upcoming projects across Sydney. We are seeking an experienced and motivated carpenter to join our growing team. You'll work across a range of projects performing structural and formwork carpentry, setting out, and other construction duties as required. KEY DUTIES/TASKS 1.Interpreting construction plans, technical drawings and specifications to identify material requirements, measurements and installation methods 2.Selecting, ordering and preparing timber, hardware and other construction materials, including setting out project layouts 3.Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling materials and components using hand and power tools 4.Constructing and installing wall frameworks, roof structures, flooring systems and sub-floor components while ensuring structural accuracy and alignment 5.Installing fascia boards, roof sheeting, external cladding, as well as door and window frames in accordance with project specifications 6.Fabricating and assembling timber structures, fittings and fixtures prior to installation on-site 7.Preparing and cutting timber joints to ensure precise fitting and structural integrity 8.Assisting with the construction and installation of concrete formwork where required 9.Carrying out maintenance, repairs and replacement of existing timber fixtures and fittings 10. Working with a range of materials including timber, plastic laminates, Perspex and light metals for construction and finishing purposes REQUIREMENTS Certificate three or higher in relevant field Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry Perform carpentry and formwork tasks to a high standard on residential and commercial construction sites Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Effective communication and teamwork skills White card (Construction induction safety certificate) A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
