A well-established motel and accommodation business are seeking an experienced Cook to join their kitchen team! Position - Cook Location – Ceduna, South Australia 5690 Salary - $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent THE ROLE: This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable Cook to support the daily operations of a busy restaurant kitchen. The role will involve preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, maintaining food quality standards, and contributing to an efficient and well-organised kitchen environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: · Prepare and cook a range of meals in accordance with menu requirements and customer requests, including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific preferences. · Prepare ingredients and ensure meals are presented to a high standard. · Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and quality. · Store food appropriately and monitor stock rotation to minimise waste. · Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. · Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with kitchen and food handling regulations. · Assist with stock control, including checking deliveries, storing food correctly and ensuring ingredients remain fresh and properly labeled. · Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and timely preparation of meals. · Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment throughout all shifts. · Follow Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures to maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment at all times. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: • Relevant qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or agreed equivalent). • Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) experience as a Cook in a busy commercial kitchen environment. • Ability to prepare and cook a variety of meals in a fast-paced hospitality setting. • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. • Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy service periods. • Strong organisational and time management skills. • A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team. • Available to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends as required. • You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
