Dubbo Christian School is seeking a passionate and committed Secondary Teacher (Mathematics 7–12) to join our growing school community. This role is a permanent, full-time position offering 38 hours per week. About the Role As a Secondary Teacher at Dubbo Christian School, you will play a central role in shaping the learning experiences of students in Years 7–12. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, effective, and differentiated lessons in Mathematics that meet the NESA curriculum standards, while also fostering a learning environment that reflects Christian values. Beyond classroom teaching, you will have the opportunity to support student wellbeing, contribute to co-curricular activities, and actively participate in the spiritual and cultural life of the school. This role requires a professional who is not only an excellent educator but also a committed Christian, eager to model and encourage a faith-based worldview in the classroom. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: ·Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs, examinations and assessments in line with school policy & NESA requirements ·Using variety of teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to cater for different learning needs and styles. ·Monitoring student progress & achievements through effective assessment practices, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely feedback to students and parents. ·Actively supporting the wellbeing of students, addressing learning or pastoral needs, and upholding high standards of classroom behavior and discipline. ·Contributing to co-curricular programs such as excursions, competitions and other relevant activities that enrich the student’s experience. ·Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. ·Maintaining accreditation with NESA and engaging in ongoing professional development to keep up to date with best practice in education. ·Undertake rostered supervisory duties outside of the classroom and exercise responsibility for the welfare of students ·Modelling Christian faith in word and action, actively participating in staff devotions, prayer, and the spiritual life of the school. Skills & Experience – What We’re Looking For: ·A recognized tertiary qualification (a minimum Bachelor equivalent) in Secondary Education ·At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Secondary Teacher ·Current NESA Teacher accreditation ·Demonstrated knowledge of current syllabus documents and proven ability to design and implement effective teaching programs. ·A strong commitment to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students, with the ability to build positive relationships that encourage growth and resilience. ·Demonstrated ability in using technology in the learning process ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively within a team. ·A clear and open affirmation of the Christian faith, with a genuine commitment to integrating faith into teaching and supporting the mission of Dubbo Christian School.
