With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated Respiratory Scientists (Grade 2) to join the team.  The Role: This role includes performing and the supervising junior scientists conducting respiratory and physiological testing, involvement in the laboratoryâs quality assurance, training programs and laboratory co-ordination.  The Respiratory Scientist (Grade 2) will provide testing according to their training and expertise and will report to the Respiratory Function Laboratoryâs Head Scientist. Appropriate training and credentialing will be undertaken to ensure the Respiratory Scientist (Grade 2) can consistently deliver the highest quality testing possible in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.  To be successful in this role you will have: Knowledge and experience across the multitude of respiratory physiological measurement. Preferred candidates will have experience in advanced physiological testing. Ability to supervise and perform high quality testing according to Northern Health Respiratory Function Laboratory Policies and Procedures Knowledge of scientific equipment and quality assurance programs Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritize work to meet deadlines Knowledge of rostering, supervising of laboratory activities and supporting junior scientists. Exposure to documentation and policies in accordance with NATA/TSANZ accreditation program Show initiative and commitment for personal and professional development Willingness to participate in department al educational activities, quality improvement and research projects Ability to work as a participative team member within a multidisciplinary team environment Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills  Next Steps . . .
