Our client is seeking a temp Field Asset Mapping Officer to support a short-term utilities infrastructure project based in Kalgoorlie. This field-based role involves travelling across the region to locate utility poles and accurately capture GPS and asset data using mobile devices. The assignment runs for approximately 3–4 weeks, with flights, accommodation, LAFHA and overtime provided, making it ideal for someone who enjoys independent outdoor work and regional travel. What you’ll be doing: Travelling across Kalgoorlie and surrounding areas to locate utility poles and infrastructure assets Recording accurate GPS coordinates and asset information using mobile devices or mapping tools Uploading and maintaining field data in line with project requirements Following mapped routes and ensuring daily targets are met Conducting basic vehicle and equipment checks before starting fieldwork Reporting progress, issues and completed works to supervisors What you’ll need: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record field data Current unrestricted driver’s licence Comfortable working independently in remote and regional areas Good navigation and route planning ability Competent using smartphones, tablets or GPS-based systems Reliable, punctual and safety-focused approach to work Ability to follow instructions and work long outdoor days Experience in utilities, surveying, field services or infrastructure highly regarded (training provided) What’s in it for you: Short-term contract with full travel and accommodation support Opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on field role Overtime and allowances included for added earning potential How to apply: To complete your application for this position please click on the "APPLY" button.
