About the Role The Cook position is responsible for cooking menu items and supporting day-to-day kitchen operations within a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment. The role supports food service delivery by ensuring dishes are cooked consistently, efficiently, and in line with established recipes, kitchen procedures, and service standards. Location: U 4/51 High St, Wallan VIC 3756 Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 Superannuation Key Responsibilities Examine food ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment during food preparation Cook menu items in line with established recipes and kitchen procedures Season food during cooking to maintain consistency and taste standards Portion food, plate dishes, and add sauces, gravies, and garnishes before service Store food and ingredients appropriately in temperature-controlled storage areas Prepare meals in accordance with dietary and customer requirements where required Assist with monitoring stock levels and food usage within the kitchen Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to support smooth kitchen operations Skills & Experience Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Minimum 1–2 years of full-time relevant work experience in a similar role Experience working within a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen workflow Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Strong teamwork and communication skills How to Apply Please submit your resume outlining your relevant experience and suitability for the position.
