Duties and responsibilities Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Clean food preparation areas and maintain hygiene standards Set up staff workstations with the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment Prepare cooking ingredients (measure ingredients, chop and peel vegetables and cut meat) Prepare food using our approved recipes Maintain customer expectations and accommodate guests with allergies Monitor ingredient quality for freshness Monitor stock levels and place orders Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure they serve hot food Operate kitchen appliances and cooking apparatus Portion and present food according to our expectations Supervise kitchen hands Responsibilities · With minimal supervision, complete delegated catering tasks according to Point Lookout Roadhouse policies and procedures. · Adheres to all standard food preparation procedures and ensures all personal hygiene guidelines are adhered to. · Follow the requirements of the Point Lookout Roadhouse Manual. · Adhere to the Injury Risk Management program and guidelines. · Able to quickly access and understand the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for every chemical in the food services area and pinpoint the ingredient, safety, PPE required and storage information within the SDS. · Demonstrate a commitment to undertaking each task correctly and to your best ability.
