Pachamama Pty Ltd provides care for children aged 0-12 years old in our Early Childhood Education and care centre and Activity Centre for Outside School Hours Care. The Role: An exciting opportunity for an EARLY CHILDHOOD ROOM MANAGER has arrived to work with Pachamama Pty Ltd on a full-time 38-hour basis with a salary of $76,515 per year, plus superannuation. Duties and Responsibilities: -Lead, guide and support a team of educators to deliver high quality early childhood education and care. -Develop and implement engaging educational programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS). -Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community. -Mentor and support educators through ongoing feedback, coaching and performance development. -Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, service policies and procedures. -Maintain accurate documentation, including children’s records, program planning and reflections. -Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all children. -Oversee workplace health and safety practices, risk assessments and room checks. -Ensure children’s medical, allergy and enrolment information is current and managed in accordance with regulatory requirements. -Uphold Pachamama’s philosophy, Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics. -Support the Centre Manager and Management Team with the day-to-day operations of the service. -Act as Responsible Person in Day-to-Day Charge when required. -Contribute to continuous improvement across all areas of the service. -Undertake other duties as directed by the Centre Manager. Skills and experience required: -Diploma-level Early Childhood Education Qualification – CHC52021 or equivalent. -Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) / Police Clearance – essential for compliance. -Experience in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for children aged 0–5 years. -Knowledge and sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and NQF standards to guide curriculum delivery. -Strong communication skills – ability to engage with children, families, and colleagues effectively. -Behaviour guidance and conflict resolution – supporting children’s social and emotional development. -Ability to observe, document, critically think and assess children’s learning and development accurately. -Teamwork and leadership experience – mentoring or supporting less experienced educators. -First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training – up-to-date and compliant with regulations. -Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice in early childhood education.
