They see this role as an important part of the team’s longer-term growth and capability as they continue to expand their major project delivery footprint About the Project This large-scale greenfield development is progressing through its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), with early works and execution phases to follow. The project presents the complexities typical of major gold and copper developments in the region: Extensive bulk earthworks and drainage requirements in challenging terrain Remote location, requiring robust planning for logistics and non-process infrastructure Large and diverse work packages across NPI, port, and processing facilities Study-level outcomes that will set the baseline for execution readiness About the Role The Lead Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing civil design and engineering across multiple offices, with a strong focus on bulk earthworks and drainage. Responsibilities include: Leading the civil scope for bulk earthworks, drainage, and hydrology Managing inputs across study offices and coordinating design consistency Providing technical leadership on earthworks, recognised as the biggest unknown in the project Supporting integration of civil design with GIS/Arc deliverables and study outputs Ensuring civil deliverables meet study timelines while positioning for execution transition This role requires a hands-on leader with the authority to guide teams, resolve uncertainties in earthworks, and provide robust study-level outcomes that can be refined into execution. About You We are seeking a civil engineering professional with: Proven leadership experience on major projects, ideally in mining, resources, or infrastructure Strong background in bulk earthworks, drainage, and hydrology design Strong flood modeling experience Experience managing design teams across multiple offices Study-phase experience with an understanding of how outcomes feed into execution readiness Ability to work closely with geotechnical, structural, and project controls teams to ensure accuracy and alignment
