Job Description Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Conference and Events Sous Chef to join the team at our Elysium Noosa kitchen located in the heart of Noosa, just steps from Noosa Main Beach. This position involves the preparation, cooking, and presentation of bulk food in accordance with established conference package menus and standards. The role will be hands on and will require strong technical skills, the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, season, and cook food in accordance with menu specifications whilst working a mixture of shifts depending on timing of conference & events Plan and organise food preparation across service periods to ensure smooth operations Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards Store food correctly and manage stock rotation to minimise waste Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas Support menu execution for functions, conferences, weddings, and special events Qualifications Qualifications Minimum 2 years of relevant commercial cooking experience, or a relevant Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) Proven experience performing duties consistent with the occupation of Chef Sound knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment with large conferences and events Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills Attention to detail Salary of up to $90 to $100k ( or pro rota if part time) Additional Information Additional Information 30% discount on food and beverage at Accor properties worldwide Generous accommodation discounts across 4,500 properties in over 110 countries Career mobility across Accor’s global brand portfolio Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Immediate Commencement Job-Category: Culinary Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time Before we jump into the responsibilities of the role.
