We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Strategic Procurement and Purchasing Specialist to lead the operational execution and continuous improvement of procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and supplier sustainability practices across the business. Reporting directly to the Strategic Initiatives & Supply Chain Manager, this is a pivotal role that combines hands-on purchasing and supply chain coordination with strategic supplier management responsibilities, including supplier contract development and implementation, supplier performance management, and supplier ESG initiatives. Key Responsibilities The Strategic Procurement and Purchasing Specialist is responsible for ensuring continuity of supply, effective working capital management by engagement with finance team, supplier accountability, whilst developing and implementing process which mature the company procurement function generally. About You You are a proactive and detail-oriented procurement professional who enjoys balancing operational execution with strategic improvement initiatives. You are commercially astute, highly organised, and confident managing supplier relationships in a fast-paced environment. Skills & Experience Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles Experience managing supplier relationships across local and international suppliers Demonstrated experience developing supplier agreements and commercial terms Strong understanding of procurement governance and supplier performance management Experience with inventory planning, purchasing execution, and supply continuity management Exposure to supplier ESG or sustainability initiatives highly regarded Strong analytical and reporting capabilities Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Warehousing teams Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills ERP or procurement system experience preferred Ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively, and drive continuous improvement outcomes Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or related discipline preferred Professional procurement certifications (CIPS or similar) highly regarded At Tindo, we embrace the diversity and vibrancy that our multicultural society offers.
