As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Welder / Fabricator to join our South Windsor manufacturing team. About the Role This is a hands-on fabrication role focused on the manufacture and assembly of high-security products including: • Steel Posts • Gates • Locking Assemblies • Custom Security Components Working within our production team, you’ll be responsible for light to medium gauge steel fabrication, welding, assembly, and machine operation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Fabricate, assemble, and weld steel components to detailed drawings and specifications • Read and interpret plans, engineering drawings, and measurements • Prepare and set up materials and components for welding • Select and operate appropriate welding equipment and methods • Ensure all fabricated products meet quality and production standards • Operate production machinery including: Press and Fold Machines Punching Machines Hand and Power Tools Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace Assist with continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience • Proven experience in light to medium gauge steel fabrication and welding • Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements • Experience operating fabrication equipment and workshop machinery • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented attitude Desirable • Trade qualification in Fabrication/Welding (preferred but not essential) • Forklift Licence • Experience with MIG welding and steel manufacturing processes Why Join ASF? ✅ Stable, long-established Australian company ✅ Supportive and friendly team culture ✅ Ongoing growth and career opportunities ✅ Full product training provided ✅ Overtime opportunities available ✅ Free Monday lunches Diversity & Inclusion ASF is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
