As a Diploma Qualified Educator and CSA level 6, you are responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operation of the service at McLaren Vale Primary School OSHC. The role involves monitoring, modelling and supporting staff and students within the service in accordance with the service’s Philosophy Statement and compliance to the National Quality Framework. This includes: Service compliance with Education Standards Board and Department for Education OSHC legislation and requirements Supporting the educational program and practice Promoting and supporting each child’s health and safety Supporting the design and maintenance of the facility Developing respectful connections with students and families at the service Development and Maintenance of the service’s Annual Self-Assessment/QIP Maintaining current qualifications for employment with the service Supporting and promoting healthy eating via weekly menu planning and shopping General Responsibilities Professional knowledge and experience in supporting the day-to-day management requirements of McLaren Vale Primary School OSHC To work in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care Has adequate knowledge and understanding of the provision of education and care to children Ability to effectively supervise and manage an education and care service under the direction of OSHC leadership Exercising supervisory and leadership responsibilities for part of the service or in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor, the person designated as placed in day-to-day charge of the Education and Care Service with responsibility management of the approved service Knowledge of the NQF, MTOP, QIP and Children's Services Award Ability to lead, guide and support a team which provides high quality education and care Ability to develop positive connections with children and families at the service Knowledge of and ability to implement the services philosophy statement, policies and associated procedures and practices Ability to support and work with other staff members towards continuous improvement in all areas of the services operation and service Ability to implement the Code of Ethics, the Services Code of Conduct and upholding workplace health and safety, and privacy and confidentiality Undertake other duties as requested by the Director Undetake responsibilities under the National Quality and Child Safe Standards
