This position is offered on a Casual, Part-Time, or Full-Time basis, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments for clients in their home environment, identifying their health needs, developing tailored care plans, and delivering targeted training to support staff in alignment with those plans. You will play a key role in promoting holistic, person-centered care, supported by a team of experienced Clinical Nurse Consultants specialising in respiratory care, wound and stoma management, and diabetes care. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical training programs tailored to individual participant needs and support staff capabilities. Deliver clinical education and competency assessments in alignment with the following regulatory frameworks: NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators – Module 1: High Intensity Daily Personal Activities , which require: Support staff to be appropriately trained and assessed as competent to deliver high intensity supports (e.g., complex bowel care, enteral feeding, catheter care, tracheostomy management, diabetes care, seizure management). Clinical governance structures to monitor staff performance and manage clinical risk. Individualised support to be based on evidence-informed clinical care plans. Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) – Decision-Making Framework for Nursing and Midwifery Practice (2020) , which mandates: Registered Nurses (RNs) delegate tasks only to individuals with demonstrated competence. RNs to provide appropriate training, supervision, and evaluation of all delegated care. Clinical decisions to prioritise participant safety, uphold professional standards, and maintain comprehensive documentation. Apply advanced clinical judgement and leadership in delivering training and supervising delegation of care. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care in home and community settings. Ensure all training content and resources are evidence-based, clinically accurate, and up to date with best practice. Facilitate initial and ongoing competency assessments for support staff involved in high intensity support delivery. Maintain detailed and accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and individual competency outcomes. Stay informed of current NDIS Practice Standards, compliance requirements, and updates to professional nursing frameworks. Essential Qualifications and Skills: Registered Nurse with a valid AHPRA registration Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Clinical experience, preferably in home or community-based care Experience in providing training Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
