About the Opportunity JD Lineboring now has an opening for a 1st year Apprentice Line Borer to join the team on a full-time basis, located in North Mackay, QLD. The successful applicant will work in a team and do individual jobs as required. They will need to be well presented, honest and reliable. Job tasks and responsibilities: Measuring and setting up specific jobs Machining to strict tolerances Welding (Mig/Stick) Reading and interpreting drawings Finishing each job to an extremely high standard Efficiency Excellent work ethic Attention to detail Ability to work individually or in a team High level of initiative Required: Current driver's license (preferable) We are chasing a keen young worker willing to learn with good communication skills. Working 8-hour days with optional overtime and potential to accompany an experienced Line Borer on site jobs. Applicants must be 17 years of age to be eligible for this apprentice position.
