Bakers Delight Mernda Town Centre is seeking an experienced Baker to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, producing, baking, and finishing a range of bread, rolls, pastries, and other flour-based products in line with recipes, production schedules, and quality standards. Key Duties Prepare and produce bread, rolls, pastries, and related flour-based products. Measure, mix, knead, shape, mould, cut, and prove doughs. Operate commercial bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, proofers, and moulders. Monitor baking times, temperatures, product quality, colour, texture, and consistency. Check raw ingredients and finished products to ensure quality and freshness. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work area in line with food safety standards. Store ingredients and finished products correctly to minimise wastage. Assist with daily production planning, stock rotation, and inventory control. Support and guide junior staff where required. Requirements Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a commercial bakery environment. Relevant qualification in baking or equivalent practical experience. Strong knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, proving, shaping, and baking. Ability to follow recipes, production schedules, and workplace procedures.
