At Sharpe Engineering, we’re looking for a hands-on Yard Assistan t to become the heartbeat of our Brisbane yard operations. This isn’t a role where you’ll sit still. One minute you’ll be unloading materials, the next you’ll be coordinating deliveries, moving stock, supporting production teams, or making sure customer equipment is ready to go. Every day brings something different. What you’ll be doing You’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations flowing by: Loading and unloading trucks and supporting production throughput Receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching materials and customer equipment Operating forklifts and yard equipment safely and efficiently Keeping stock organised, labelled, and fully traceable Moving materials across work centers to support workshop operations Coordinating deliveries and collections with suppliers and subcontractors Supporting stocktakes and inventory accuracy, maintaining a safe, tidy, and high-performing yard environment What success looks like You’re someone who: Takes pride in being organised and staying one step ahead Notices when something doesn’t look right and speaks up Enjoys physical, practical work (doesn’t mind working in the elements) and being part of a team Can juggle competing priorities without losing attention to detail Understands that safety isn’t negotiable Treats customers, suppliers, and teammates with respect What you’ll bring Minimum 1 year experience in a similar yard, warehouse, or materials handling role Forklift licence and relevant equipment licences Strong organisation and time management skills Confidence working independently and within a team Good communication and a proactive mindset commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement A MR or higher truck licence will be an advantage Why Sharpe Engineering?
