Chef – Full-time Mungo Lodge – Arumpo NSW 2715 Mungo Lodge is a well-established tourism and hospitality business located on the edge of the World Heritage-listed Mungo National Park. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated full-time chef to join our kitchen team at the Mungo Bar & Bistro. This role is based in a highly distinctive, remote regional tourism environment and is ideal for a candidate passionate about hospitality and regional dining experiences. Position Details: Position: Chef Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $77,000 per annum Superannuation Location: 10142 Arumpo Road, Arumpo NSW 2715 Key Duties and Responsibilities: Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation standards Operating and regulating kitchen equipment, including ovens and grills Managing food storage, stock rotation, and labelling procedures Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals in accordance with established recipes and service standards Seasoning, plating, and finishing dishes with appropriate garnishes and accompaniments Preparing meals to meet dietary requirements and customer requests Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards Assisting with menu preparation and kitchen coordination Maintaining consistent food quality and service standards Skills and Experience Required: Certificates in Commercial cookey is preffered but not mandatory Minimum work experience as a chef for 1 year Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong organisational and teamwork skills Commitment to quality food preparation and customer service Language Requirement: English proficiency required Mungo Lodge operates seven days a week and provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner services to lodge guests, tour groups, and travellers visiting the Mungo National Park region. Due to our remote regional location, applicants must be willing to relocate and work in regional NSW.
