We are seeking experienced Drill Rig Operators to join our growing construction team delivering major utility-scale solar projects across Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global renewable energy company at the forefront of the clean energy transition. Working on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster , you will be responsible for operating piling equipment to install steel foundations for solar tracker systems on large-scale solar farms. Key Responsibilities: As the operator, you will be put through thorough training on the specialist rigs and will be responsible for assembling and packing away the rigs on arrival and departure of each site. Being mechanically minded would be beneficial. Operate hydraulic piling/drill rigs and associated plant to install driven steel piles to project specifications. Read pile set-out plans and ensure accurate positioning, alignment and installation depths. Perform pre-start inspections, daily maintenance and basic troubleshooting of piling equipment. Monitor pile verticality, refusal and tolerance requirements. Work closely with surveyors, supervisors and ground crews to maintain productivity and quality standards. Complete production reports, pre-starts and safety documentation. Ensure all activities comply with site WHS requirements, SWMS and environmental procedures. Assist with mobilisation, demobilisation and maintenance of equipment between projects. Requirements: Proven experience operating piling rigs, drill rigs or similar heavy construction plant. Experience on solar farms, civil construction, transmission line or large infrastructure projects highly regarded, but not essential. Valid HR or HC Driver’s Licence. White Card. Relevant plant VOCs and/or High Risk Work Licences. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues. Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork. Willingness to travel and work across multiple remote sites throughout Australia. Desirable Tickets: Excavator, Loader or Telehandler tickets. First Aid and CPR. Working at Heights.
