Full-time Chef required for The Birch Geelong at 359 Pakington St, Newtown, VIC 3220. The Birch Geelong is currently seeking a qualified full-time chef to join our team at 359 Pakington St, Newtown, VIC 3220. We are lookingfor someone who is creative,organised, passionate and experienced in Asian Fusion Cuisine. The job description for a chef is as follows,and it is not an exhaustive list: · Menu planning, estimating food and labourcosts. · Preparing and cookingmenu items. · Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff. · Adhering to, explaining and enforcing of hygiene regulations. · Monitoring qualityof dishes at all stagesof preparation and presentation. · Delegation of tasks to other team members. · Supervise Cooks and assist as needed. · Monitor food stock and place orders. Requirements: · Qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher) · Minimum 1 year of experience in the commercial kitchen · Flexible availability · Good communication skills · Ability to work unsupervised and in a team · Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements · Experienced in Asian fusion cuisine.
