We are currently seeking an experienced Microsoft Word Specialist for a high-profile Annual Report project on behalf of one of our key clients. This is a technical production role requiring a specialist who can bridge the gap between studio-led design concepts and complex, multi-contributor document management. The Brief Our client requires a specialist to translate in-house concept designs into robust, functional Word templates. You will be the technical lead for the document’s structure, ensuring that as various internal teams input content, the formatting remains stable, the branding is consistent, and the final file is of a "finished art" standard. The Workflow While exact dates have yet to be confirmed, the project is due to commence from early to mid August. The initial phase will be the set up and update of master templates based on approved concept designs. The second phase will be to manage and format specific report sections and appendices. Phase three is a critical stage involving merging multiple files into one master document, resolving style conflicts, and troubleshooting Word-specific formatting issues. The final phase will be for final proofing, hyperlink testing, and creating accessible PDFs for both web and print. Availability & Timing (Mandatory) Our client is currently working to indicative timings. While exact dates will be confirmed a few weeks prior to commencement, please note that once these dates are locked, we will require the specialist exclusively for that time. This project follows a strict "Tranche" delivery schedule. The final "Merge and Art" stages in late September are high-pressure windows. We require a candidate who can commit 100% to these dates once they are formalised to ensure the submission deadline is met. Requirements - Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Word Styles, section breaks, and template architecture. - Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to branding, typography, and document consistency. - Problem Solving: The ability to resolve complex formatting issues that arise when multiple contributors edit a document. - Professional Reliability: A proven track record of meeting hard deadlines within government or corporate reporting cycles. Please note, due to the nature of the client, you need to be an Australian Citizen or Resident to apply. Unfortunately, we cannot shortlist anyone on a Working Holiday VISA for this role or anyone outside of Australia. If you are interstate and have these skills, you are welcome to apply. To Apply: If you have the technical "Word wizardry" to manage a large-scale project and can commit to the delivery windows, please apply by clicking on the link and uploading your CV and a summary of your relevant experience. Please note, while we would love to be able to get back to everyone, we will only respond to shortlisted applicants. We are only keen to hear from people who are Australian Residents or who have the appropriate Australian Working VISAs. Sadly, we won't be able to assist people based outside of Australia. A periodic rate of pay applies for this role. To help manage applications please no phone calls or DMs; apply here.
