About the Role We are seeking a commercially minded and analytically driven finance professional to join a leading manufacturing and supply chain organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand. This role partners closely with operational leaders to provide financial insights, improve performance, and support strategic decision-making across manufacturing and supply chain functions. The position is ideal for someone with strong analytical capability, hands-on manufacturing finance experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in a fast-paced operational environment. Key Responsibilities Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to provide financial insight into manufacturing performance, efficiency trends, and operational improvement opportunities. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial results, including accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting for production-related cost centres. Deliver regular reporting and analysis on manufacturing and supply chain performance indicators to support operational decision-making. Review and manage product costing information, investigate cost movements and production variances, and identify key drivers impacting profitability. Support the annual budget process along with rolling forecasts for manufacturing and supply chain activities. Maintain standard costing models, monitor production variances and cost of goods sold, and provide actionable financial insights to leadership teams. Support audit, compliance, governance, and ESG-related financial activities. Prepare financial models and scenario analysis to evaluate operational changes, investment opportunities, and business initiatives. Partner with procurement, plant operations, and broader business teams to assess commercial outcomes and support strategic decisions. Assist with internal controls, audit requirements, compliance obligations, and sustainability-related reporting initiatives. Identify and support initiatives focused on improving processes, reducing costs, and enhancing operational performance. About You Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance roles with direct exposure to manufacturing or supply chain operations. Experience working with ERP systems such as JDE, D365, SAP, or similar platforms. Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data. Advanced Excel capability including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modelling. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to partner across all levels of the business. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Collaborative mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
