Full time, permanent opportunity Welshpool Location National Building Materials Supplier We're seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to join an Australian-owned independent distributor of building products, with a strong focus on providing ethically sourced building materials to Australia-wide locations. This role is ideal for a strong leader who leads from the front, promotes a safety-first culture, and takes pride in running high-performing and efficient operations. Role responsibilities: Workplace Health & Safety Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all warehouse operations. Conduct regular toolbox talks and ensure WHS policies and procedures are consistently followed. Monitor, report on, and proactively improve safety performance and compliance standards Daily Operations Oversee the end-to-end warehouse operation, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from receival through to dispatch. Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective process enhancements. Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through cycle counts and effective inventory control practices. Optimise warehouse layout, storage utilisation, and overall operational efficiency. Team Leadership & Performance Lead, support, and motivate the warehouse team through hands-on leadership, collaboration, and active engagement. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and safety. Manage team performance, attendance, and conduct in line with company policies and expectations. About You Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management. Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety practices, with a genuine commitment to maintaining safe work standards. A hands-on leader who is visible on the floor, actively involved in day-to-day operations, and supportive of the wider team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer and service-focused approach. High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Proficient computer skills, with confidence using warehouse management systems, inventory platforms, and operational documentation.
