The role manages day‑to‑day field operations, supervises staff and contractors, and maintains strong compliance with safety, environmental, and cultural heritage standards. Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of field operations for the Harmony Exploration work programs. Ensure all chips samples, core, and exploration data related to field duties are processed accurately in a timely fashion. Identify areas for improvement in site workflows that ensure the team is working effectively and maximising time in the field. Complete time sheets for staff under supervision. Allocate tasks to Field Technicians and contractors and ensure adequate supervision is in place. Supervise the construction of drill pads and associated access tracks. Maintain appropriate levels of field consumables for upcoming work programs by managing regular stocktakes and placement of orders through procurement to relevant suppliers. Ensure exploration vehicles are maintained and serviced at specified intervals. Draft and maintain safe work instructions for all field and sampling related activities. Ensure that employees supervised are properly trained and comply with regulatory and company environmental and safety standards and procedures. Engage and communicate with external stakeholders, including landholders and native title groups. Assist with supervision of external contractors working on Harmony sites, ensuring Harmony and statutory standards are upheld. Actively participate in regular safety inspections and team safety meeting. Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Harmony. Maintain a positive attitude towards safety in the work place, increase safety awareness, implement safety training and set an example for others. Work within and comply with the Harmony Eva Copper Safety and Health management system. Oversee and partake in the collection of regional geochemical sampling campaigns including soil, stream sediment and rock chip sampling to industry best standard practices. Identify and assist in the recruitment of new high performing field members to join the team as required. Understand and comply with Environment protection Act Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and standards. Ensure compliance with Cultural Heritage procedures and standards. Qualifications ESSENTIAL SKILLS: C Class Driver's Licence Mining Industry Supervisor - S123 qualification or eligible to meet the requirements to attend Desirable Skills Backhoe Ticket pXRF User Licence About The Team Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane. The Eva Copper Mine is a significant and strategically important project for Harmony marking a major milestone in the company’s copper growth strategy and its long-term commitment to Northwest Queensland. The mine will have a minimum life of 15 years and will involve mining multiple open cut pits providing copper bearing ore to a concentrator. Front-end engineering design is complete, and mine construction is expected to take up to 30 months with first production targeted for the second half of the 2028 calendar year.
