This position is open to fantastic 3rd and 4th year apprentices with relevant work experience in carpentry. Mature-aged candidates are encouraged to apply. This position is full-time. Head office is based in Graceville , with travel to multiple residential sites around Brisbane required. Job Details Merbain is a family-owned construction company with a reputation for excellence. You will be mentored by industry professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework and working all over the Brisbane region. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Assisting with the construction of various pre-cast concrete products, including panels, bridge beams, structural foundations, floor slabs and retaining walls Framing, fixing, cladding and finishing carpentry work Assembly and dismantling of formwork Reading plans and technical drawings Working from measurements Using carpentry tools and equipment, Nail gun, saws, levels and drills Handling carpentry materials About You The successful candidate will be reliable, have excellent communication skills, and be ready and willing to undertake physical work in an indoor and outdoor setting. You will be willing to travel, work in the hot sun, and not afraid of working heights.
