MOTOR MECHANIC TOPSPEED AUTOMOTIVE PTY LTD St Agnes, South Australia 5097 Salary: $76,000 - $80,000 per annum (plus superannuation) Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 38 hours per week About the Business TOPSPEED AUTOMOTIVE PTY LTD is a well-established automotive repair and servicing business located in St Agnes, South Australia. The business provides a broad range of automotive mechanical services , including diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, engine servicing, brake and suspension repairs, and general vehicle maintenance for a variety of vehicles. Due to continued business growth and increasing operational demand, we are seeking a qualified and experienced motor m echanic to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. Key Duties and Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for: • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in vehicle engines and related systems using diagnostic equipment and specialised tools. • Repairing and replacing defective or worn mechanical components, including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering components, and braking systems. • Performing scheduled servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and general vehicle servicing. • Dismantling and reassembling engines and other vehicle components in accordance with manufacturer specifications. • Testing and adjusting repaired systems and components to ensure proper performance and roadworthiness. • Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying repair requirements. • Maintaining accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used. • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements. • Assisting with minor repairs and servicing of light commercial and heavy vehicles where required. • Undertaking minor vehicle accessory installations and modifications where required. Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants must have: • A relevant trade qualification in automotive mechanical technology or equivalent. • At least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience as a motor mechanic. • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. • Sound knowledge of modern automotive repair and servicing techniques. • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service. • A current HR truck licence is required. • Experience working on 4WD vehicles. • Auto electrician qualifications or experience. The following skills and experience will be highly regarded but are not essential: • Experience installing vehicle accessories , including GPS systems, cameras, lift kits, spotlights, and body kits. • Experience with auto electrical wiring and accessory fitting.
