Who we are looking for We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong background in trauma responsive therapeutic practice, particularly in supporting victim/survivors of child sexual abuse and people impacted by violence, abuse and crime. The successful candidate will bring excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement and practice supervision skills, with the ability to support and develop a high-performing team delivering safe, evidence-based and client-centred services. To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary qualification (AQF level 7) in social work, psychology, counselling or related discipline or a diploma (AQF level 5) in counselling. Extensive experience working with complex client matters and responding to serious client matters. Experience in trauma informed therapeutic practice, responding to child sexual abuse, and working therapeutically with people who have experienced violence and other forms of abuse. It would be a bonus if you have: Experience reporting to funding body for non-financial reporting Experience working therapeutically with children. What you will be doing The Team Leader of rebuild and Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) counselling programs leads a team to deliver trauma responsive counselling and support for people who are the victims of crime and/or victim/survivors of child sexual abuse. They provide practice oversight and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the combined teams, including program targets, data collection, financial and non-financial reporting. The Team Leader works under the direction of the Manager Counselling Services (rebuild and CSACS) and collaborates with Practice Managers and other staff across Intensive Counselling and Support Services and the organisation. The Team Leader also assists the Manager in the overall leadership of services, strong stakeholder engagement enabling collaborative interagency responses to ensure clients receive timely and appropriate support.
