About this opportunity As a Grader Operator, you will be required to provide plant operations in road construction, maintenance work and labouring duties under remote supervision as directed. The position is based in Boonah, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s works depots (Beaudesert and Canungra) or facilities within the Scenic Rim. Additionally, you’ll also … • Carry out daily general labouring duties in an efficient, effective and safe manner. • Operate small plant safely and only after being inducted in the proper use of this plant. • Have the ability to provide on-the-job direction and training to develop a multi-skilled works team. • Accurate completion of fault report sheets. • Ability to lead and supervise a small team. About you… • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle under a C Class Licence, HR Class Licence desirable. • General labouring skills in construction and maintenance work • Demonstrated skills in grader operations of GPS and UTS Systems including technical knowledge of system capabilities, setup, rover use and accuracy checks. • Current card for General Construction Induction.
