The Role: As a Maintenance Officer in aged care, you will play an important role in ensuring the home remains safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. Working closely with the leadership team, you will support the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and presentation of the facility, contributing to a comfortable and homelike environment for older people. Key Responsibilities: Conduct environmental safety audits and address identified hazards and maintenance concerns Complete planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules and compliance requirements Respond to corrective maintenance requests in a timely manner Perform general maintenance tasks and coordinate external contractors where required Assist with room setups, equipment moves, and maintaining safe workspaces Maintain grounds and gardens to a clean, tidy, and safe standard Support effective waste management practices, including coordination of specialised waste services Maintain accurate maintenance records and escalate critical safety issues as required What’s in it for you?
