Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. We are seeking a passionate and flexible Worklink Officer to join our school team. This is a casual position commencing at any time . In this role, the successful candidate will support students as they experience workplace learning opportunities. You will assist students to apply and adapt the workplace skills that are necessary to understand and carry out different types of work, and that play a key role in lifelong learning. This is not just a role; it’s a sacred opportunity to facilitate the nurturing of young hearts and minds. Key Responsibilities : Conduct student interviews, monitoring visits and workplace safety checks. Negotiate strategic workplace appointments with potential new host employers when required. Conduct monitoring visits to CET Apprentice Employers. Provide informed customer-service support to host employers, potential host employers, School Liaisons and parents/ community members. Selection Criteria: Essential : Demonstrates a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church. Lives in alignment with SCEA’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and Educational Objectives. The ability to build and maintain strong healthy relationships between families, the SCEA Head Office staff and the College. Able to demonstrate experience working on behalf of young people in supporting their career development. Current C Class license and own vehicle. Strong commitment to and understanding of Work, Health & Safety. Be highly competent in the use of IT related devices and applications for data management and communication Holds a current Working with Children card and Department of Education Criminal History Check, or willingness to apply. Desirable Selection Criteria: (Include where appropriate in your response) Strong proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly learn and use other software platforms. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. Relevant industry experience. Strong commitment to Workplace Health & Safety.
