The Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail‑driven Civil Estimator to join our dynamic civil construction team. In this role, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a diverse range of civil engineering projects, ensuring our tenders are precise, competitive, and aligned with company goals. This position plays a key part in supporting strategic growth, delivering high‑quality bids, and helping shape the future of major infrastructure works. Key Tasks: Review and interpret project plans, blueprints and specifications to determine scope and cost drivers. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, plant and equipment, including quantity take‑offs and market pricing Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, constraints, and cost implications Liaise with engineers, project managers, architects, subcontractors and suppliers to validate assumptions, clarify scope, and source competitive pricing Evaluate labour productivity rates, wage structures, and crew compositions for accurate forecasting Identify risks, cost‑saving opportunities, and alternative methodologies to improve project competitiveness Prepare tender submissions, supporting documentation, and present estimates to stakeholders Maintain and update a database of cost information, supplier lists, and historical pricing Key Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification 5 Years minimum experience in Civil Estimating Understanding of engineering techniques, construction process and the ability to assess their suitability and application. Experience across subdivisions, earthworks, roadworks, water and wastewater infrastructure and other civil structures Proficient with MS Office including MS Project, Excel Word and Expert Estimation software The ability to be detail-oriented in order to successfully review information Good verbal and oral communication and interpersonal skills Temperament to work under pressure and meet deadlines in tight timeframes A real desire to learn and to want a long-term career in civil construction If this position interests you - please apply directly via seek, only serious applications will be considered for this position.
