Experience and Qualification: We are seeking a permanent, full-time Pastry Cook to Ottimo in Coolangatta where we are committed to continue to provide the best Italian pastries and sweets for our customers. As part of our creative team, the pastry cook will be responsible for all aspects of producing our Italian inspired pastries. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Prepare, bake and decorate buns, cakes, biscuits, and pastry goods Maintain comprehensive knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and food safety requirements Meet with the Owner to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment, and supplies Establish priority items for the day Prepare all products following recipes and yield guides, according to set standards Must be an enthusiastic all rounder *Willingness to learn A great work environment and a $75,000 to $80,000 remuneration for the successful applicant. Experience and Qualification: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pastrycook or in a closely related pastry/baking role. A Certificate III in Retail Baking (Cake and Pastry) or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
