The Opportunity This is one of the most technically significant engineering leadership roles in Australia’s emerging battery recycling sector. Renewable Metals is building the engineering capability that will take its technology from demonstration scale to commercial deployment – and ultimately international licensing and modular replication. As Head of Engineering, you will lead the engineering function across three critical workstreams: Commercial FEED study delivery for the Hunter Refinery Pilot plant engineering and scale-up Engineering authority for the operating demonstration plant The centrepiece is ownership of the FEED study for an 8ktpa commercial hydrometallurgical facility designed as a globally deployable modular plant. This is not conventional brownfields engineering. This is first-of-kind process commercialisation, modular plant design, and engineering decisions that directly shape the company’s future deployment optionality.
