Job Description Based in Sydney, our client is part of a National Electrical and Engineering Group of Companies with over 50 years of experience. Their utilities and resources division are experts in industrial water and waste water. They are trusted by private and public industrial clients, national supermarkets, retail chains, and telecommunication providers. Business Development Manager - Water/ Waste Water We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive their growth across the Water, Waste Water, Utilities, and Infrastructure sectors. You will report directly to the General Manager - Sales and will be responsible for identifying and securing end to end supply and installation opportunities. You will also nurture and expand the current porfolio of their key accounts,developing account plans alongside the General Manager. Responsibilities Identify and secure business opportunities for supply and installation of Automation systems, 11KV to 415V Kiosk Substations, MCC & Drives and MSB & DB packages for water, waste water, utilities & infrastructure sectors in line with company strategies Maintain and develop current portfolio of customers within the allocated business product in order to achieve sales targets. Marketing of the company and its services, whilst maintaining close relationships with new and existing clients, with the view of further enhancement of these relationships Identify new opportunities to be tendered in line with tendering and bid / no bid process. Assist the estimating team in preparation and submission of tenders Work closely with supply chain partners Follow up and negotiation of tenders Assist the project team where required to deliver projects to the satisfaction of the customer whilst maintaining project profitability. Who are we looking for? To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven track record of sales success within the Australian contracting space. Electrical Trade Qualifications or Engineering qualifications Minimum 5 years local experience and proven success in sales and business development particularly in the water & infrastructure sectors (National experience would be an advantage) Must have contracting and systems integration background Experience in Switchboard and Packaged electrical solutions would also be an advantage. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels, maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry suppliers Intimate knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers, protection systems and packaged solutions Strong understanding and working knowledge of electrical industry and safety standards, including the Electrical Safety Act and AS3000:2007 If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Faye on .
