Our practice requires the expertise of a Division 1, Registered Nurse to join our doctor owned mixed billing clinic. The position is permanent Full-time, Monday-Friday working 38 hours a week. Our nurse will work as an integral member of the clinical team in assisting the clinic focus on preventative health and improving patient outcomes in those with chronic disease. Key Selection Criteria Current Division 1 registration with AHPRA Current CPR Certificate Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision; Exceptional clinical assessment skills; Computer literacy; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to prioritise and organise; Commitment to ongoing training; Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team; and Possession of current Victorian Drivers License. Up to date vaccinations (immunisation history to be provided) Duties include Initiating First Aid and emergency treatment such as CPR, O2, management of minor soft tissue injuries; Wound Management; Administration of medications; Vaccinations – Adult/Childhood/Travel etc.; BP Monitoring; Venepuncture; Triaging Urinalysis; Pregnancy Testing Ear Irrigation; (if qualified) ECG; Knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule – including but not restricted to Enhanced Primary Care Items, Chronic Disease Management, Incentive Items and Nursing Item Numbers Assist GPs with procedures Other skills as requested by GP’s or management
