An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tender / Precontracts Manager to join a well-established and growing civil construction contractor based in Orange, NSW, delivering complex projects across the mining, infrastructure and heavy industrial sectors. This business has built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale projects nationally and is continuing to expand its project pipeline with Tier 1 and major industry clients across Australia. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role will play a critical part in driving successful tender outcomes and managing the full precontracts function across the business. The Role This is a hands-on leadership opportunity suited to an experienced Tender, Bid or Precontracts professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of managing multiple tenders concurrently while leading and mentoring a high-performing team. You will oversee the full tender lifecycle from EOIs and submissions through to contract award and project handover. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage end-to-end tender submissions and precontracts activities Review RFQs, RFTs, scopes of works and contract documentation Develop commercial strategies and identify contractual and operational risks Coordinate internal stakeholders across estimating, operations and engineering teams Prepare and review tender qualifications, departures and clarifications Ensure all submissions are compliant, accurate and delivered within deadlines Lead and mentor the tendering team while improving systems and processes Support contract negotiations and pre-award discussions Manage the transition from precontracts into project delivery About You Proven experience in Tender Management, Precontracts or Bid Leadership within civil construction, infrastructure, engineering, mining or resources Experience managing and mentoring tendering or estimating teams Strong commercial and contractual acumen Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple tenders in a high-volume environment Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail Relevant qualifications in Construction, Engineering or Business are advantageous Why Apply?
