About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Finance Manager to join a fast-growing FMCG / QSR business on an immediate start basis. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building, improving, and taking ownership across the finance function. We are looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, improving processes, strengthening controls, and making a genuine operational impact as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support to the CFO across financial and operational activities Own and continuously improve the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and audit-ready reporting Prepare and review journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate variances Build and maintain scalable financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks Resolve legacy accounting issues and improve overall financial integrity Prepare weekly cashflow reporting and liaise with stakeholders to gather key information Assist with monthly management reporting, variance analysis, budgets, and forecasts Design and implement strong financial controls including; Approval frameworks and segregation of duties, balance sheet integrity and reconciliations and Audit-ready documentation and record keeping. Prepare BAS, FBT, payroll tax calculations, lodgements, and reconciliations Support external audit requirements and liaise with auditors and tax consultants Lead and contribute to finance transformation initiatives, systems improvements, and automation projects Leverage AI and modern finance tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency Support broader commercial and operational finance activities as required Skills & Experience CA or CPA qualified 5 years’ experience within accounting or finance, including experience in a Senior Accountant or Finance Manager capacity Proven hands-on experience within a fast-paced FMCG, QSR, startup, or high-growth business environment Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience managing end-to-end finance processes Demonstrated ability to improve systems, processes, and financial controls Experience working within lean teams and taking ownership autonomously Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders Experience with MYOB Acumatica / MYOB Advanced highly regarded Exposure to automation, AI tools, and finance transformation projects is highly desirable About the Client: Our client is a highly recognisable and growing business within the FMCG / QSR industry, known for its entrepreneurial culture and exciting growth trajectory.
